DCLS PLUS Features

DCLS PLUS includes a wide range of standard features. DCLS PLUS can also be customized to add capabilities according to each customer's specific requirements. DCLS PLUS features include:

Automatic interest calculations: Each time an account is accessed, DCLS PLUS automatically performs up-to-the-minute current balance updates (i.e., interest rate calculations and other expenses).

Collector campaigns: Create campaigns or sets of data by predefined criteria (i.e., a filter queue by age of account, minimum/maximum owed, industry or any other user-established criteria). Our “age of account” process can select accounts by any user-designated time frame (i.e., cases over 30, 60 or 90-days old, etc.). Statute of limitations expiration dates or diary dates can also be used to form filter queues.

Collector queues: Batch groups of accounts according to flexible criteria (i.e., specific collectors by client, industry, dollars owed, user profile or manager-defined campaigns) as outlined above.

Comprehensive history data: Comprehensive history data is reflected in three DCLS PLUS report groups:

  1. Collections
  2. Financial
  3. Litigation

All communications, updates, deletions or other changes are automatically recorded to provide an audit trail. In background, these changes are tracked by user identification and date, and can be restricted for manager-designated access.

Conflict resolution: DCLS PLUS has edits and error checks to alert users of conflicts in the system. For example, when a social security number is entered, the entire database is searched for that number. If a match occurs, a message is displayed indicating a potential conflict. Because of DCLS PLUS customization options, users can pre-establish conflict resolution strategies (i.e., alias checks, duplicate name, address or telephone number).

Document conversion: DCLS PLUS accepts various file formats, including ASCII, comma-delimited, Excel and SQL-Server. In addition, our talented staff can provide other strategies to efficiently migrate data from a user’s current system to DCLS PLUS.

Document merge capability: Data fields can be extracted to electronically create merged documents, letters and court forms.

Electronic data interchange (EDI): Through license sharing, users have the option to segregate client access for transmission of new business direct from the client into DCLS PLUS for immediate access throughout the user organization.

Facsimiles and e-mails: Users can easily link and transmit e-mails to a pre-established list of addressees directly from DCLS PLUS. The DCLS PLUS facsimile interface also permits one-click transmission of documents.

Legal logic: Our event-driven litigation system calendars all activities related to legal processes, including court dates and other significant legal events. DCLS PLUS processes data on the basis of prescribed waiting periods associated with national court jurisdictions. The DCLS PLUS legal worksheet allows the centralization and compilation of administrative and attorney fee details on the basis of user-prescribed variables. In addition, the commission rate table permits allocation of disbursements on the basis of prescribed formulas.

Letter writing/mergercapability: Data is automatically merged into letter/document templates from the DCLS PLUS database.

Payment plans: DCLS PLUS allows users to record payment arrangements and settlement terms based upon client criteria (i.e., lump sum, term and down payments). Term payments can be set up by week, month or quarterly schedules. After a client-designated time period, the debtor is removed from payment status and a request to initiate legal action is launched.

Real-time queue analysis: Managers can view collector efforts on a case-by-case, real-time basis. This feature permits managers to remotely attach to a collector’s DCLS PLUS access (shared view), or access screen views of real-time graphical (and text) reports that show collector effort by individual and/or user group. In addition, managers can transfer accounts from one collector queue to another without disrupting collector workflow routines.

Role-based security: System maintenance functions allow managers to establish security roles based upon user groups and need-to-know. Typical user groups include administrative, collector, client, legal, supervisory and management. In each instance users are restricted from accessing any portion of DCLS PLUS except that specified by level of access rights.

Service interfaces

Automatic dialer: DTC is currently collaborating with an industry-leader to develop its dialer capability. Once completed, the capability will permit the implementation of user-directed predictive and automatic dialer strategies.

Credit bureau: Select from one or all of the major credit bureaus to request and update credit information. Once DCLS PLUS receives a response to the user query, it can be automatically used to update the debtor record.

Document imaging: DTC currently extends to its users the benefit of its reseller status with its nationally recognized partner. DTC’s partner is a leader in imaging and scanner technology. DCLS PLUS users enjoy the benefit of that reseller discount pending completion of the interface.

Integrated trust accounting: Users can easily tag and transmit debtor accounts to skip-tracing services. Employees of those services can access a selected range of fields, including address, telephone number, asset, degree of separation, drivers’ license and more.

Online payment: DTC currently extends to its users the benefit of its reseller status with its nationally recognized, electronic payments’ partner. At present, DCLS PLUS includes an interface table that allows the user to input key data for easy upload to our partner’s product.

Standard letters/reports in online libraries: DCLS PLUS stores standard letters and reports in customizable online libraries. Users can generate letters and reports on an ad hoc or batch basis. DCLS PLUS online libraries includes:

  1. Debtor letters
  2. Client letters
  3. Miscellaneous
  4. State-by-state legal forms
  5. Pre-judgment letters and forms
  6. Post-judgment documents

Online libraries can be customized to reflect an organization's process or to ensure compliance with local legal requirements.

Track productivity and sales information: DCLS’ PLUS patented approach to tracking sales and marketing information in real time is accomplished through graphical reports and views. Managers can see hourly, daily or monthly progress by collector and sales staff.
